Abano Spa Water with Salsobromoiodic properties

ABANO THERMAL WATER in ISOTONIC and HYPERTONIC formulations Class I medical device indicated for sinusitis, rhinitis, allergic rhinitis and daily nasal washes »

Acqua delle Terme di Abano thanks to the well-known therapeutic properties of its Thermal Water has anti-inflammatory, decongestant and fluidifying properties and is indicated for:

Sinusitis, rhinitis, allergic rhinitis and nasal washes

ISOTONIC ABANO THERMAL WATER
Suitable for sinusitis, rhinitis, allergic rhinitis and daily nasal washing.

Abano Thermal Water is much better tolerated and safer than sulphurous waters.

In addition to the therapeutic efficacy of the water, the mechanical action that the medical device is able to perform is equally important. Good jet with a dispenser suitable for children and adults. Nasal irrigation carried out by means of the practical anatomical dispenser helps to eliminate dust, dirt, mucus, bacteria, viruses and allergens from the nose.

Many canisters, the old generation ones, including manual plunger medical devices, do not dispense water if they are tilted and therefore do not allow you to wash your nose using the correct method. In fact, if you wash your nose while standing upright, the water goes all down your throat, not fulfilling its function of cleaning the nasal passages.

Spray can with 125 ml applicator.

HYPERTONIC ABANO THERMAL WATER

Indicated for sinusitis, rhinitis and allergic rhinitis in the acute phase; in the presence of mucus.

All the concepts expressed for the Isotonic also apply to the Hypertonic. The only caution is to use the Hypertonic solution in the acute phase, when we are in the presence of nasal congestion, in the presence of mucus.

Use the washes for a limited period of time, maximum 10 days, then switch to the isotonic. Do not use for daily nasal washes.

Spray can with 125 ml applicator.

Instructions for use

1) Remove the protective cap from the canister.
2) Place the anatomical dispenser at the base of the nostril.
3) Apply light pressure to the base of the dispenser while simultaneously inhaling through the nose
4) Repeat the operation in the other nostril
5) After each use, wash the dispenser with water

Tips for a correct nasal wash

  • During the wash, the head must be rotated so that the nostril through which the solution is introduced is slightly higher than the other. The solution will come out of the other nostril lower down and only a minimal part will be perceived in the oral cavity.
  • Do not direct the jet towards the nasal septum, but towards the top and outside of the nose. You must be slightly bent forward over a sink that will collect all the secretions.
  • During the nasal wash, you must breathe through the mouth
  • After washing, it is advisable to blow your nose to eliminate the secretions and the residual solution
  • Repeat the application several times a day as needed

When is it useful to perform nasal washes?

  • In the case of allergic rhinitis, to remove allergens and substances, produced by the allergic patient, that cause the inflammation typical of allergies (histamine and leukotrienes). This result is obtained above all through frequent nasal washes. The effect of nasal washes lasts a few hours and enhances the action of antihistamines and cortisone sprays.
  • In acute or chronic rhinosinusitis, a disease characterized by mucus or pus discharge in the throat, nasal obstruction and secretions, pain near the eyes and nose, cough and sometimes fever. In this situation, nasal washing decongests the mucosa and increases the effectiveness of antibiotics.
  • In bacterial rhinitis and the common cold (viral).
  • In subjects who continue to clear their throat due to the presence of secretions in the back of the pharynx
  • In patients who snore as a result of nasal obstruction.
  • In subjects exposed to smoke or other irritants and who feel dry nose (atrophic and drying rhinitis).
  • In subjects with blocked ears while they are in high mountains, on a plane or after scuba diving.
  • In nasal polyposis.
  • After nose surgery (rhinoplasty, septoplasty, nasal turbinate resection and ethmoidectomy) for this indication consult your doctor.

Benefits of proper nasal hygiene

  • Improves breathing thanks to effective nasal unblocking.
  • Reduces discomfort caused by allergens.
  • Reduces symptoms related to infectious episodes of the airways and paranasal sinuses (improving mucus removal).
  • Helps a quicker post-operative recovery in the case of nose and paranasal sinus surgeries.
  • Improves sleep quality.
  • Promotes a reduction in the consumption of local and systemic drugs used for the above-mentioned pathologies.
