Numerous scientific studies have been published in recent years on the effectiveness of benzyl benzoate in reducing the dust mite population. In particular, two of these studies, published in the "Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology", evaluated the use of benzyl benzoate as an additive in laundry washing (ref. 1,2). 
The results of these tests, reported in the following table, demonstrate the ability to reduce the concentration of dust mites of benzyl benzoate, tea tree oil and methyl salicylate, respectively, at low concentrations in cold water.

 

Based on this scientific evidence, the exclusive formula of X-Allergy® was developed, the laundry additive that combines the properties of three substances (benzyl benzoate, tea tree oil and methyl silicate), which are extremely active against dust mites and which allow the complete elimination of mites and their allergens from linen and all water-washable garments with a simple wash, even in cold water.
