Rely+On Virkon

detergente-disinfettante-ambientale

ENVIRONMENTAL DETERGENT AND DISINFECTANT.
A 10g measuring spoon corresponds to 1 liter of solution.

Rely+On Virkon is a high-level disinfectant, with high biocidal power and low toxicity for humans and the environment which continuously develops oxygen and chlorinating action "in situ".
Particularly suitable whenever there is a need for effective control of the spread of infections: in 15 minutes (contact time) there is the physical destruction of over 500 pathogenic strains (viruses, bacteria, fungi).

Rely+On Virkon is registered with the Ministry of Health as Medical Surgical Device n° 16,765 and its use complies with circular 5443 of the Ministry of Health relating to the Covid-19 emergency.

It has a very broad spectrum of action, including viruses, mycobacterial fungi, gram negative bacteria, gram positive bacteria, vegetative forms and strains resistant to antibiotics.

Its microbial activity has been tested, over the last 15 years, on over 80 bacteria, 20 fungi, 5 bacterial spores, 4 species of mycobacteria and on over 40 viruses including HIV - HBV - HCV - SARS - H1N1.

General Features

It is ideal for environmental disinfection on hard, non-porous surfaces.
Thanks to its cleaning, disinfectant, anti-mold power and very low toxicity.

It is indicated by the Ministry of Health for environmental disinfection for professional and healthcare use but also throughout the food industry chain.

Mode of Action
The solution in contact with the microorganisms oxidizes the proteins and other components of the protoplasmic cells and together with the surfactant causes the rupture of the cell membrane.

Safety
The characteristics of the composition, the microbial activities and the reactions that develop in the solution ensure the product has minimal toxicity for humans, the air, aquifers and the soil.

What is VIRKON

VIRKON is a new disinfectant, with high biocidal power and low toxicity for humans and the environment which continuously develops oxygen and chlorinating action "in situ". It is a European-level healthcare device (CE OO86J registered with the Ministry of Health with number 16-16b and specifically authorized for the disinfection of air, healthcare instrument surfaces, etc. It has a very broad spectrum of action, including viruses, mycobacterial fungi, gram-negative bacteria, gram-positive bacteria, vegetative forms and strains resistant to antibiotics.

Mechanisms of Action

The main biocidal mechanisms are ensured by contemporary development:
- multiple oxidizing actions (potassium monopersulphate, formation of hydrogen peroxide, nascent oxygen);
- acidic pH, to which Caro's reagent and malic acid with sulphamic acid contribute;
- of cleansing action with damage to the bacterial surface;
- of chlorinating action "in situ", directly inside the system, in a reversible way, and inside the cells of the various microorganisms
VIRKON, in other words, after having altered the external membrane of the bacteria, also uses the water and chlorides of the bacterial cell as a substrate to develop hydrogen peroxide and active chlorine inside them, disintegrating any chemical structure, including DNA or other nuclear substances and effectively preventing the development of any form of bacterial resistance.

Toxicity for humans and the environment

The characteristics of the composition and the reactions that develop ensure the product has minimal toxicity for humans, the air, aquifers and the soil.
It is worth underlining that it is less toxic than table salt and sodium bicarbonate and that it can be aerosolized without the need to ventilate the environment.

Scientific References

In addition to being registered in most of the most industrialized countries, they come from an enormous amount of work carried out in various universities and research institutes on:
- 400 strains from collection or clinical isolation belonging to approximately 80 types of bacteria;
- 60 strains from collection or clinical isolation belonging to 20 types of fungi;
- 10 strains from collection or clinical isolation belonging to 4 species of micro bacteria;
- 60 strains belonging to collection or clinical isolation and 40 viruses from all 9 families.
The most coveted recognition came from the recent approval by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) of the United States of America with number 2432-2 r dated 12 September 1997, which also authorizes its use in offices, schools and food industries.

VIRKON FOR THE FIGHT AGAINST RESPIRATORY INFECTIONS

Respiratory infections have an important relationship with asthma and cause dyspnea in many patients. Epidemiological studies have shown that respiratory viruses and possibly chlamydia, and sometimes bacteria, are microorganisms associated with increased asthma symptoms.
In particular, respiratory syncytial virus, parainfluenza virus, rhinovirus and influenza virus are microorganisms most frequently associated with increased respiratory symptoms.
“Respiratory viral infections, similarly to exposure to passive smoking, can be considered one of the risk factors contributing to the development of asthma”

Application
VIRKON can be used at 1% for contact and nebulization and at 0.5% for aerosolization:
A. For air disinfection in winter and periods of influenza epidemics
B. For the remediation of masks used for aerosol therapy, teats, pacifiers and toys
C. For the disinfection of toilets, sinks and air to neutralize bioaerosols
D. For kitchen disinfection to avoid food poisoning
E. For the sanitation and disinfection of clothing and bedding (blankets, mattress covers)
F. For the remediation of biological waste of animal origin
